The Commonwealth Games 2010 that are to be held in Delhi has started rolling out mails calling volunteers for training.
Being part of the volunteer program myself I too got mail. As reported the venue for training is selected to be Amity engineering college situated at Sector-125 Noida.
It seems that government is doing its best to ensure maximum participation. The timings for the training are 8.30 am to 6 pm. The volunteers would be provided with a lot of snacks and meals. Amity University will provide, free of cost, lunch and refreshments during the training programme as below,
- On Arrival at Campus – Tea and Snacks
- Morning Break – Tea and Cookies
- Lunch Break – Lunch
- Afternoon Break – Tea and Cookies
- Evening Break – High Tea
HOW TO GET TO THE VENUE • For participants using Public Transport
– By Metro
Board a metro to Noida Botanical Garden Metro station.
– By Bus
Board a bus to Noida Sector 37 Crossing and walk down to Noida Botanical Garden Metro station.
Amity University would be ferrying volunteers from 8am to 9am from Noida Botanical Metro station to Amity University Campus and after the training programme, back to Noida Botanical Metro Station free of cost. • For participants using Personal Conveyance
If you are planning to drive down to Amity Campus sector 125 Noida in your personal vehicle, kindly ensure that you enter the campus through Gate No 2C, parking space would be provided. hello . i 2 had given the interview bt till now not recieved ne mail or sms. i had filled my form in college earlier. police verification was done but at the time of interview i didnt hav 1 snap that was to be pasted in police verification form.
can ne1 tell m wat 2 do now

hi.. this is vishal.. i've been called fo training on 19th june. i wanted to kno, dat if i miss dis date,, will i get a second invitation again to join d training in any forthcoming month.. and yeah,, what happens at d first day of training?? is it simply gonna b just an 8hour lecture?? thanx..

hi, i received both the email and the sms for the training programme on 3rd of July but the mail probably got deleted from junk. so is it very important to have a hard copy of the email or the copy of message will do..??

please read the latest post on commonwealth training . . .nd ya if yov don't have an email , the sms wud work f9 . . . Dnt forget to note the registartion id from the list at the entry gate . . . Which also comes with ur email . .nd postponing ur trainin is not a gud idea, they might not cal u later on . .
hi sandeep.. ur sms is more dan enough.. just show it to the gate keeper n der u go in.. all u need is ur id number dat u must hav received in d msg.. n yeah,, any id card of urs as well..

for all the participants coming for the CWG volunteer training. An SMS or Email, whatever you have received from the trainers is accepted. there is nothing to worry if only one has been received that is either the mail or email. you just need to show the SMS you have received along with any of your photo ID for verification purposes. Try to come for the training on the date you are called for.

hey… i completed my role specific and venue specific training under role of accreditation assistant…
but recently when i opened my volunteer portal on cwgdelhi website.. i saw my letter of intent..
and it was written there that my role is unassigned volunteer and venue is null.
what is this? i had attended all the trainings. . i was assigned a role.. our batch was the first one to attend all the trainings . .then what is this?
i have been trying to get to the people on phone.. but no one is answering..
