Many of you must wonder how i created this and other blogs (hackiteasy.com). At Shankee we don’t hide anything from our users, so we are going to reveal how you too can make a professional blog like Shankee. When i first made blog i just wanted to share my passion and knowledge for computers with the world, and this is what that made me succeed. I monetized my blog long after that. So just making blogs for money won’t help, you must also be passionate about your blog.
These are the simple steps you need to know to make a blog. Just follow the simple step by step guide-
1. Register at a good free blogging host
This is the most credible step you should always opt for a good and famous free blogging site that offers you ad-free blog and enough tools for good and easy editing. I prefer blogger.com as firstly it is owned by Google so its trustworthy and secondly it is completely free of ads and banner that you don’t want to show, also it offers the easiest editing i have ever seen with a whole bunch of customizable options.
Blogger is followers by the most famous WordPress, due to its easy installment on servers most of the professional bloggers have switched to wordpress. But the tools are a little whacky and are not preferred for anyone unless you own your own private hosting which is costly.
2.Choosing a good topic
For blogging you need some thing that you like and also which people would love to read. Like I love computers and hacking so made a blog about it and people love my blog. Your blog can be about anything that you like, for example it could be on cooking and recipes, it can be on Golf telling how to make a great shot..and whatever u like..
But the topic has to be of your interest so that you too even love to write a lot about it.
3. Content / posts
For blogging you should post good quality content. That should be created by you and not copied from somewhere. Because copied content is listed very low in search engines. and would not help you gain good rank. Also post articles frequently we recommend posting articles almost daily to get good rank and traffic and if u have to copy from somewhere always try to change the words use acronyms and synonyms that would make your content appear to be different for a search engine. Also always show the source from where u got your content only if copied.
4.Analyze your traffic
Analyze your site traffic , we prefer using Google Analytics for that.
Analytics is simple and you just need to paste a simple HTML code generated by Google Analytics on your blog. Don’t worry we’ll soon tell how to in next post. Analytics tells you a lot of stuff like your daily visitors your daily page views ,Country of visitors and much more.
Also always keep checking your rank on Alexa that lets you know where you stand in the world. Its easy to get in top million in just 3 months but that requires a lot of hard-work.
5.Promote your blog..
Most people don’t know this, Google ranks you in order of you links on other sites. It’s like the more other people have listed your URL on their site the better you rank in Google. Google believes that more the people talk about you the better you are. So how to do that, its simple.
keep visiting other blogs and always comment on posts and leave your URL at the end of posts. There are also many free directories that called Backlink builder and offer free listing of your site , this might help a bit. But still many people say that Google doesn’t consider these. But there is no bad in using them.
6. Encourage people to subscribe to your updates
You should login to Feedburner and encourage people to subscribe to your blog posts. This means your subscribers get informed by mail or any other way they prefer automatically each time you post something on your blog. For this we recommend Feedburner as it is the best. Feedburner offers a lot of options to publicize your post.
7.Keep your blog neat and clean.
The nicer you blog looks the more time people going to stay on it. It means no useless advertisements and banners, they sometime become so irritating . We recommend you to stay away from ads and banners unless you have at least hundred posts.Or you have at least 50+ visitors each day, otherwise that you wont generate much profit from your ads.
8.Monetizing you blog ( earning from It)
Now we come to earning from your blog. But before you even think of doing this you must have already done the above steps. So the best service for doing that is Google Adsense .The ultimate backbone of young entrepreneurs like me. It is owned by Google. In Adsense you offer a small space on you blog to google to show ads. It is simple to use and you get paid on each click you receive on youe ads.Also using Kontera would be a good idea. Kontera links your text words to ads, it hyperlinks some words from your posts and if u click on them then an ad shows up.
